Angelus

“I am Angelus. I used to be a messenger of God, for the people.”

Angelus was an angel created by God, with the power of gravity. Her powers could be used to prevent death, as He would want, or to bring death, as He would want. She can cause earthquakes by making the ground’s pressure reach an alarming amount as well as force people or things closer or farther from her.

In Heaven, Angelus’ best friends were Viscus, a female angel with the power of heart, and Everto, a male angel with the power of intelligence. The three of them dreamed of one day being in the First Sphere, the highest hierarchy of angels. Everto wanted to be in the Seraphim, who serve as the caretakers of God's throne. Viscus wanted to be in the Thrones, who are living symbols of God’s justice and authority. Angelus wanted to be in the Cherubim, in the form of an Ox, and guard the tree of life in the Garden of Eden.

One day, Everto got promoted to the Seraphim. However, his mind and heart began to fill with envy and greed, two of the seven deadly sins. He wanted to be in God’s throne so badly, but he knew that he couldn’t touch Him. On the highest punishment, he would be exiled to Hell. Instead of risking getting his hands filthy, Everto used his power to manipulate Viscus into committing the sin acedia, which means “the neglect to take care of something that one should do.” Instead of Viscus telling God about Everto’s plan, she went along with it, under the premise that God would turn into a vicious tyrant, showing no mercy to the people of Earth below.

Viscus’ power of heart wouldn’t allow her to ignore the needs of the people, so she followed God around until the moment was right. Angelus noticed Viscus acting suspiciously and saw her raise a knife to Him. Immediately, Angelus used her power of gravity to crush her friend into pieces, the pressure of the air being too much for Viscus’ body.

Everto knew that Angelus would destroy Viscus in order to save God. He did this so his two friends, who would stand in the way most, would be out of the picture for good so he could go on with his plan.

God had to banish Angelus and rip off her wings and take away her powers. However, because she killed Viscus in the defense of God’s throne, He decided that instead of banishing Angelus to Hell, she would be banished to Earth. Her punishment would be that she would have to do good in the world; Enough good to be redeem herself in the eyes of God.

God allowed Everto to escort Angelus to Earth, in present-day New York City. Knowing he has gained God’s trust, He nor the other angels would be watching him. Everto explained his entire plan to Angelus and how easy it was to manipulate Viscus and how predictable it was that she walked right in to his plan, practically willingly.

Angelus, furious, began attacking Everto. However, he crushed her spirits when he told her, “A human can never speak with God.”

Over three hundred years later, working at a drug rehab clinic, Angelus has regained her power of gravity, but now she must earn her wings. When a patient named Aiden falls in love with Angelus, she must do her best to resist and to help him get clean and to go on a straight path.

TL; DR: An angel named Angelus is banished from Heaven after killing her friend in order to protect God. In order to get back into Heaven, she must do enough good for the Earth. Over 300 years later, Angelus is working at a drug rehabilitation clinic. A patient named Aiden purposely goes into treatment so he could see Angelus more. In order to help Aiden and to get back into Heaven, Angelus is trying to resist him and to help him get on the right path.

I really like how the bottom picture came out, but I don’t like the top picture at all! I tried so hard to make it look good, but I could not D:>

Sorry if it’s so religious. But, it’s just a story, so try not to get so irked I was inspired to make this character after listening to “Requiem of a Dream” by Clint Mansell. I’m not sure why XD I did some Angel in Christianity crash course research and I also used what I remembered from my catechism classes.

The majority of characters’ names are Latin, since Latin is used a lot in Christianity.

Angelus = Angel. The word “angelus” comes from the Greek word “angelos”, which means “messenger”. She is protective of God, which becomes her downfall.

Viscus= Heart. This power allows her to talk people out of suicide or other serious things that they can’t decide on. Her power of heart makes her overly caring and kind, so she is vulnerable to a lot of problems and can be easily manipulated.

Everto= Demon. His high intelligence allows him to persuade people into doing good with their lives. However, he is able to manipulate people into doing what he wants with little effort.

Aiden= His name doesn’t really have a meaning, I don’t think. He’s just named after a saint lol. Anyway, He used to have a heroine addiction, however, he has slowly been cleaning up. He is in love with Angelus, and while he wants to get clean for her, the only way he can see her is if he has to go into treatment again.

Also, my internet at my house has been going super, super slow these past couple of days. It won't let me post on here or even email myself!! DDDDD: So, I'm using a neighbors computer... :I
